The character of Cheras
Cheras stretches from Taman Connaught and Taman Midah inside the Federal Territory out through Bandar Tun Hussein Onn and into Selangor toward Kajang. It has always been a value market — solid terraces, dense shophouse commercial, some of the best street food in the Klang Valley — and the MRT Kajang Line rewrote its access almost overnight. Stock is a mix of 1980s and 1990s landed housing, older walk-up apartments at genuinely low entry prices, and a wave of newer condominiums built around the MRT stations. For a first-time buyer priced out of PJ, Cheras is usually the next honest answer.
