The character of Shah Alam
Shah Alam is a planned city built around numbered sections, and it splits cleanly in two. The residential sections offer wide roads, large lots and some of the most affordable landed housing in the inner Klang Valley, much of it on Malay reserve or Bumiputera-restricted land, which is a material factor in resale and must be checked on the title. The industrial sections — 15, 16, 22, 23 and the Hicom belt — are the manufacturing and logistics core of Selangor, holding detached and semi-detached factories with heavy power, high clearance and direct access to Port Klang. Industrial demand here has been the most resilient part of the Selangor market for several years.
