Petaling Jaya

Petaling Jaya is not one market but a dozen. The old numbered sections — SS2, Section 14, Section 17, Damansara Utama — carry 1960s and 1970s single- and double-storey terraces on generous lots, most of them renovated at least twice, and they trade on land value and school catchment rather than on finishes. The newer Damansara Perdana and Mutiara Damansara pockets add condominium and township stock. Section 13 and Section 51A have been steadily converting from light industrial to commercial and residential, which is where much of the town's new supply is coming from. Commercial shop lots across PJ remain one of the more dependable income assets in the Klang Valley.
